The worldwide war on baby girls

The world keeps getting older and wiser. Yet the mindsets of certain people just don’t broaden. Why is it that inspite of an education, inspite of urbanization and inspite of advancement in all possible fields on earth, people still remain in their rigid mindsets and remain blind and deaf to the world in front of them.

There are missing girls. Missing because they were killed during infancy or even before they’ve reached that stage. These missing girls are denied birth and a life because of their gender.

It’s just unforgivable.

What is gendercide?

Gendercide is gender-selective mass killing or the the deliberate extermination of a race of people.

Statistics -

India counted only 914 girls aged six and under for every 1,000 boys or 75.8m girls and 82.9m boys. This sex ratio is the worst in the recorded history of the modern Indian.

Last year the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences warned that by 2020 one in five young Chinese men would be unable to find a bride because of the death of young women

The Case of Japan’s Princess Masako: Sons Over Daughters

The debate still continues in Japan about Princess Aiko’s future and how males have dominated the Japanese throne. It’s really depressing to know that well established countries still practice and follow such outdated traditions.

I remember Princess Aiko’s adorable face being flaunted in the newspaper when she was born, followed by pictures of her ever smiling mother Princess Masako. My God, she is a beautiful woman. The grace on her face reminds me of Princess Diana, another royal I completely awed.
