Before I Die is a public art project that invites people to reflect on their lives and share their personal aspirations in public space. Painted with chalkboard paint and stenciled with the sentence “Before I die I want to _______”, the wall aims to create public spaces that better reflect what is important to us as a community and as individuals.

As people increasingly share stories, videos, and tips through their networks, they are no longer just news consumers but news producers. There’s even a neologism coined to describe the shift from passive consumer to active producer: “presumer.” It confers an added obligation to evaluate what amid the clutter is worth sending on.

Imagine that you are French. You are walking along a busy pavement in Paris and another pedestrian is approaching from the opposite direction. A collision will occur unless you each move out of the other’s way. Which way do you step?
Understanding and modelling how pedestrians behave is a youngish field for researchers. Anticipating pedestrian flows makes crowd events smoother and safer, and accounting for the peculiar propensities of different nationalities is key to getting it right. (via theeconomist)

This is pretty coool, quite interesting too. I like seeing the what type of companies have chosen the same colour scheme and especially if they are rival companies. It goes to show there are rules what colour to choose for each company.. for example blues used more for banks and social sites i think this is because blue subconsciously represents security and you want to be able to feel safe while banking and also when your on a site where you are giving your details out. Red although a colour of anger and danger it is also suppose to make you feel hungry! hense why Mc Donalds, KFC, and Coca Cola (3 of the biggest food/drink companies in the world) have all chosen red. Green always has and always will be used as something thats promoting nature/organic/fresh.
